
The Rev. Andrew Nyren, his wife Amy and daughter Ella joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church family in October 2008.
He received his bachelor of arts degree as a high school history teacher from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He earned his master of arts degree, studying church history, in theological seminary from the University of Dubuque, and master of divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He was ordained at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames Iowa.
While working as director of education for students in grade six and under at Bethesda Lutheran Church, the Nyrens traveled to their companion church in Tanzania. He and his wife both enjoy traveling and have also visited Iceland, Russia and Ethiopia.
